Driven by Design - The Porsche GT Evolution
Last Saturday, we partnered with Chris’s German Auto Service in Redmond to present Driven by Design: The Porsche GT Evolution, a curated morning experience celebrating the cars, stories, and philosophy behind Porsche’s legendary GT lineage.
What began as an idea to tell the story of Porsche’s most focused driver’s cars quickly grew into a packed-house event with more than 250 attendees, every seat filled, and Porsches filling the surrounding lots.
Inside the shop, guests were treated to a thoughtfully assembled lineup spanning multiple eras of Porsche GT history, including Carrera RS and GT models that illustrated the evolution from lightweight, analog machines to today’s highly engineered performance cars.
The morning featured a panel discussion with Nathan Merz and Chris Powell, moderated by our very own Shabi Soliamani, who shared insights into Porsche’s GT philosophy, motorsport roots, mechanical evolution, and why these cars continue to resonate so deeply with enthusiasts.
A huge thank you to Daria Bakai and the entire Chris’s German team for opening their doors and helping bring this event to life, and to every vehicle owner who trusted us with some truly special machinery. Without their willingness to share these cars with the community, there would have been no story to tell.
At its core, Driven by Design was never just about the cars. It was about the stories behind them, the people who drive them, and the community that brings them to life.
